Kampot is a small riverine town in south-east Cambodia, not far from the Vietnamese border. The main attraction of Kampot was nearby Bokor National Park, a huge expanse of rainforest, punctuated with bizarre ruins and modern developments, including a huge casino. I had a brilliant day exploring Bokor by scooter, something I definitely recommend doing. The town itself has a great vibe, gorgeous food and lots of fellow travelers to meet. I can see why so many ex-pats now call Kampot home.
